We had a romantic dinner in a restaurant, recommended by the hotel owner, last night, and had leisurely morning before hitting more highlights of Florence.  We started off by visiting the Galleria dell’Accademia and Michelangelo’s David.  A late afternoon stroll through Renaissance Florence was followed by a gourmet Tuscan dinner.  We are beginning to like these three hour dinners.  Good thing we are doing a lot of walking.

Piazza Signoria, when the night falls, glows.  The statues in the Loggia  look  so much more lively set against the gathering dusk and again the next  morning in the early morning sunshine. The first days in Italy  offered  more photo-ops than we had hoped for.  The city, the buildings, the art: there was just so much to see and appreciate.  Even the line of Vespas glistening in the sunset was just so right for the hidden photographer in us.
