On the way to Cinque Terre, we visited Lucca.  Lucca is known for its wall and towers.  Climb one of those towers and what do you see?  Roofs.  Roofs.  And more gorgeous roofs.  Lovely geometric terra cotta tiles on top of pastel buildings.   Walk through the narrow streets to get a taste of an Italian  small town.  Stop at a trattoria and savour the local Zuppa di Faro: a soup, a meal and a local celebrity in a bowl.  Stroll along the wall and relax along the manicured  500-year-old green belt with its luscious grass and delicate wild flowers.
